For many years, I have been helping people gain insight into themselves to better understand their feelings and behaviors. Times of transition and uncertainty can be stressful, but today there are many unprecedented variables in this world which may amplify these big feelings. I work with clients through an interactive approach, trying to help them explore and verbalize what they are experiencing, and create a road map to help them reach their goals. I feel that we all demonstrate behaviors which we may not understand. Through exploration, I help clients "connect the dots" to help them gain insight as to why they do what they do. Once they have this understanding, it becomes more of a conscious choice as to how they wish to move forward. I feel like the client and I become a "team", trying to explore these issues together. Even though I see clients virtually, I can be seen visiting the MSU campus with my therapy dog, an Alaskan Malamute named Ichabod. We often attend on-campus events and are present for the "Out of the Darkness Walk" for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention(AFSP)
My areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and transition.
